Geocean was born of a passion for profound courage and solidarity. It embodies a unique human and technical adventure. Founded in 1984 by Pierre Becker, a visionary passionate about seabed, Geocean has filled a gap in France’s expertise in marine projects.
A passion for the sea
The Geocean story began with Pierre Becker, a geologist by training. Dreaming of a company dedicated to exploration and construction in the marine environment, this lover of the sea created Geocean in 1984.
Right from the start, Geocean brought together a team united by a shared love for the sea. For Pierre Becker, Geocean was not just a company but a place of continuous learning where everyone could learn their trade on the job.
