Corporate Social Responsability“CSR” :
Geocean distinguishes itself
At Geocean, our unwavering commitment to social and environmental responsibility is the bedrock of our professional identity. We strive to enhance communities and safeguard the environment, all while upholding impeccable ethical standards.
Promoting diversity and equal opportunity
At Geocean, professional equality is not just a policy, it’s a way of life. We cherish diversity and equal opportunity, which is evident in our effective and measurable inclusion policies. For instance, our gender equality index is a testament to our dedication to equal pay.
Preparing for future generations
We are committed to inspiring young people by opening the doors of our company to them. By welcoming schools or groups of young people into our offices or construction sites, we enable high school students to discover construction and marine engineering professions closely. These initiatives encourage future generations to consider careers in our sector and understand their potential role in sustainable and environmentally respectful development. They also allow these young individuals to view the projects we conduct near their living areas comprehensively.
International commitment and local action
Geocean firmly respects human rights in all its international projects. Since 2023, we have associated each new project with an ethical action defined and chosen in partnership with the client in the host country.
Our corporate social responsibility initiatives include assessing the needs of local communities and organising events. These initiatives illustrate our commitment to corporate responsibility principles, such as accelerating the ecological transition and getting involved in civic projects. We build trusting relationships with local communities and choose suppliers as close as possible to our sites to minimise our carbon footprint.
Gender diviersity
VINCI Construction Grands Projets is committed to promoting gender diversity and equality in its teams.
We are committed to a responsible approach, embodied by the human values and culture that promote the individual success of our employees in their work on our projects. Listening to, trusting and supporting each person in their career path forms the basis for sustainable development.
This shared ambition was accompanied by the creation in 2019 of a joint steering committee, Grands projets au féminin. It is made up of our employees, and under the guidance of our management committee, it establishes and implements concrete actions to promote gender diversity in the long term.
The approach is built around major lines of action, including:
- Women’s employment in technical and engineering positions
- Equal pay
- Equity in career development and access to training
- Work/life balance
The committee set up awareness-raising days for all employees in order to have a lasting impact on attitudes and to combat stereotypes, produced a series of award-winning films at the Deauville International Responsible Film Festival, as well as posters of proud and inspired women widely distributed in the company, organised a series of lectures with external speakers, proposed solutions for parenthood and better work-life balance, and set up many other initiatives such as the preparation of indicators regularly shared in complete transparency with everyone on the professional development of women within the company.
