Our intervention techniques for your projects
between shore and sea

Our projects are tailor-made. Our teams, comprised of qualified experts in marine environments, ensure safety and efficiency at every stage. We integrate all the expertise required for each marine project and coordinate the steps needed to complete the project.

We are able to process geotechnical and geophysical data, ocean weather data, monitor infrastructure (survey), measure environmental impact, manage teams of divers and all manner of marine works. Discover our intervention techniques for the three main phases of our projects:

Our installation resources:
Geocean Fast Barges

We have opted for an asset-free operating model. To ensure the installation of all our projects, we have developed four types of modular barges:

  • Geocean Fast Pipe Barge: for rigid pipeline laying
  • Geocean Fast Flex Barge: for flexible and TCP flowline laying
  • Geocean Fast Cable Barge: for umbilical and power cable laying
  • Geocean Fast Support Barge: for offshore lifting and pulling operations

Our modular barge solutions, developed in-house, are tailored to the specific needs of each project. This ensures maximum efficiency, avoiding unnecessary oversizing and eliminating unnecessary costs. We deploy these barges from 3 mobilisation locations: Europe, Asia, Mexico Golf and the Middle East.

In each of these areas, we have developed a network of partners enabling us to integrate and assemble our standardised, modular barges in record time, ensuring that we meet project deadlines.

These “Fast Barges” fields have been proven on our latest projects.

Our Near Shore Approach operations

We lay pipes and cables from the seabed to shore. Our system includes:

Trenchless solutions

For shore approach crossing without disturbing the environment. We use methods such as horizontal directional drilling (HDD), direct pipeline and micro tunnelling.

Trenching and burying solutions

When the conditions allow, we perform pretrenching and posttrenching by mobilizing the most subsea equipment.

Cofferdams solutions

This method enables us to divert water and create a dry environment for work underwater or in wetlands. We use this technique when the project requires temporary installation.

In conjunction with other VINCI Construction Grands Projets units, we also carry out the work required to ensure the connection between the offshore and onshore pipelines and onshore structures.
