This significant project required the construction of an artificial peninsula, which was achieved by importing seabed sand to establish a base camp and an operational site. Faced with a shifting and hard-to-reach area, our team overcame substantial technical challenges to ensure structural stability.
Our teams demonstrated exceptional project management skills in this hostile and isolated environment, highlighting Geocean’s ability to orchestrate the most complex operations. Rigorous onshore interventions prepared the ground for setting up a camp and constructing an access road. Both at sea and on land, the conditions were exceedingly demanding. Confronted with strong currents and operation windows limited to two hours, our divers had to exhibit exemplary speed and precision. The strong team cohesion and our ability to adapt to spartan living conditions were crucial in completing this project without incidents despite the constant challenges posed by unpredictable environmental conditions. This project proved our expertise in managing extreme conditions and affirmed our leadership in executing projects at the frontiers.
